Our Journey to Historic Main Street
Serendipity Gifts opened in 2013 in Kimmswick, Missouri, but we found our true home in 2016 when we moved to Historic Main Street St. Charles. We couldn't be more excited to be part of this incredible destination! Historic Main Street is filled with one-of-a-kind local boutiques and restaurants that draw visitors from all over - and honestly, we get it. There's something magical about strolling brick-lined streets, popping into century-old buildings, and discovering curated treasures you can't find anywhere else.
Why Simply Southern? It's a Love Story!
Growing up in the 80's, I've always been obsessed with classic preppy patterns - think seersucker, stripes, nautical vibes, and all things Southern charm. Simply Southern embodies everything I love: classic southern style, cute and funny designs, adorable gifts, and that perfect preppy flair, all at prices that won't break the bank. We're proud to be St. Charles County's largest Simply Southern retailer! We like to say we're a Midwest boutique with a southern flair, and that's exactly the niche we've carved out among the many amazing boutiques on Main Street.

Twice a year, we head to market to see all the new Simply Southern offerings, and we hand-pick every piece we think you'll love. Our store is filled with southern-inspired apparel, adorable accessories, and fun gifts with a touch of humor for the whole family. We're all about casual, cute, and comfortable!

What we love most about being on Historic Main Street? The incredible community of local boutiques and restaurants! There's truly no place like it. We're lucky to participate in amazing festivals throughout the year - Festival of the Little Hills and Christmas Traditions are some of our favorites. The atmosphere, the history, the local spirit - it really is a gem.
A Building with History (and Maybe a Few Ghosts!)
Fun fact: Our store at 700 S. Main Street, St. Charles, MO 63301 is located in a building that dates back to 1805! It was originally used as an inn and tavern called "The Farmer's Home." Like several other buildings on Historic Main Street, it's rumored to be haunted. We like to think our friendly spirits just appreciate good southern style!
